Make-Ahead, Storing and Reheating

If you’re hosting a brunch or a party, it’s always a good idea to plan ahead and make some components of the menu in advance. Fortunately, you can make the triple berry juice a day or two before and store it in the refrigerator until you’re ready to serve. Simply mix the berries, orange juice, lime juice, and sugar in a blender and pulse until smooth, then strain it through a fine-mesh sieve to remove any seeds or pulp. Transfer the juice to an airtight container and refrigerate until needed.

When it comes to storing the leftover mimosa, it’s best to keep the sparkling wine and berry juice separate until it’s time to serve. This way, the bubbles won’t go flat and the flavors won’t mingle and become diluted. You can store the berry juice in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and the sparkling wine in the fridge for up to 5 days.

To reheat the berry juice, simply transfer it to a saucepan and warm it gently over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until it reaches your desired temperature. Be careful not to let it boil, as this can alter the flavor and texture of the juice.

Finally, when you’re ready to serve, simply mix the sparkling wine and berry juice in a pitcher or carafe and let your guests serve themselves. You can also set up a mimosa bar with different types of berry juice, fresh fruits, and garnishes like mint leaves or sliced citrus fruits. The possibilities are endless with this versatile and delicious triple berry mimosa recipe.

Tips for Perfect Results

A vibrant and colorful drink to brighten up any occasion

Preparing a triple berry mimosa is easy and straightforward, but there are some tips that you might want to keep in mind to achieve the perfect results you’re looking for. Below are some helpful tips for making the best triple berry mimosa recipe.

Firstly, try to use fresh frozen berries instead of canned or processed ones. Fresh frozen berries have a better taste, color, and texture, and they will give your mimosa a more vibrant and intense flavor. You can use any combination of raspberries, strawberries, and blackberries, or even add some blueberries and wild berries to your mix.

Secondly, use a good quality sparkling wine or champagne. The quality of the wine will affect the taste and overall quality of your mimosa. It’s okay to use a mid-range bottle of champagne, but try to avoid using cheap sparkling wine or champagne, as they often have a harsh aftertaste.

Thirdly, use freshly squeezed orange juice instead of store-bought juice. Fresh orange juice has a natural sweetness that will complement the tartness of the berries and balance the acidity of the wine. You can also add a splash of lime juice for extra flavor.

Fourthly, make sure your glasses are chilled before serving. A chilled glass will keep your mimosa cold and refreshing for longer. You can chill your glasses in the freezer for 10-15 minutes before serving.

Fifthly, use a long-stemmed spoon or stirrer to gently mix the ingredients together. Avoid using a regular spoon or fork as it can cause the bubbles to disappear and the wine to go flat.

Sixthly, don’t be afraid to experiment with different variations of the recipe. You can try adding different types of fruit or juices to your mix, or even add a splash of vodka or a liqueur of your choice.

Lastly, enjoy your triple berry mimosa with good company and great food. This cocktail is perfect for brunch, a picnic, or any special occasion. Cheers!

Triple Berry Mimosa Recipe

Was looking for a fun way to use my frozen berries for a brunch and this popped up in my search.

  • 1/4 cup blackberry
  • 1/4 cup strawberry, leaves and top removed
  • 1/4 cup raspberries
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 750 ml champagne
  1. If you have a juicer yay for you – add blackberries, strawberries, and raspberries to your juicer and juice into a small cup. Pour 1-2 tablespoons of orange juice into your juicer while it’s running after juicing the berries. Juiced berries have a thicker texture so the orange juice helps to push out more of the berry juice. You should end up with 1/4 cup to 1/2 cup of juice.
  2. If you don’t have a juicer then do what I do and run your berries through a blender on grind and then strain them using a fine sieve.
  3. Distribute berry juice among 4 glasses, add 1/4 cup of orange juice to each glass, and top with champagne.
  4. Garnish with a few fresh berries and serve!
